El Nido Island Hopping Tours

Do you remember the last scene from the film Bourne Legacy? The one where Aaron Cross (Jeremy Renner) and Dr. Marta Shearing (Rachel Weisz) sail away in an old ferry boat to escape and disappear. That was filmed here, in El Nido.

Beach overdose is guaranteed after spending days indulging in a huge buffet of island hopping. Here's the menu...choose one or better yet, choose all!

If you have a lot of days in El Nido, do try them all. I highly recommend Tour A and C because they're very scenic. Please note that there are other tour companies offering combination tours. We got to see Tour A during a Fun Full Day Scuba Dive
Many hotels and guesthouses offer island tours, most of which are private, sometimes clubbed together with fellow travelers.

Greenviews Resort in Corong-Corong organized our island tour. We ended up taking a private Tour C. The group who was supposed to join us decided to get a private one at the last minute.

Tour C is the second-most popular  tour and the farthest route with lots of hidden spots.

How much does a tour cost and what does it include?

We paid Php 3000- 3200 (US $ 73- 78) per boat for the two of us for a private day tour. This includes lunch, boat with a boat man & guide. Snorkels and gears are charged extra as well. There is an Environment Fee of Php 200 (US$ 5.00 / Eur 4.00) that is collected by a tourism official along the beach.

There are tour companies in El Nido Town Proper that offer group packaged tours including buffet lunch and free use of snorkeling equipment such as Servant Tours .
  • Tour A Php 700 per person   (US $ 17 / Eur 14)
  • Tour B Php 800 per person  (US $ 20 / Eur 15)
  • Tour C Php 900 per person  (US $ 22 / Eur 17)
  • Tour D Php 700 per person  (US $ 17 / Eur 14)
*Above prices may change. Those are the prices valid at the time of this post's published date.

Tour starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM daily
The tour boats usually have a capacity of 8 - 16 passengers depending on the size of the boat.

It is also possible to stay overnight on some islands if you'd like that  "Lost", "Survivor" or "Blue Lagoon" experience. There are special tours for those. There are also Kayaks for rent at Php 800 (US $ 20 / Eur 15) per day.

My next post will be about our adventures in these hidden spots.

Have a great week to you all!
